Atelier Ouvrage is a workshop building one-of-a-kind furniture in close
partnership with interior designers — translating your drawings, mood,
and intuition into pieces that are buildable, beautifully made, and
accessible enough to specify.
A workshop, not a factory, Custom is the only thing we make.
THE STUDIO
Every piece begins as a conversation with the designer — the brief, the room, the client behind it. We don't carry a catalog; we don't push a house style; we don't go behind you to your client. We're the trades partner who shows up when a vintage piece can't be sourced, when the millwork has to thread between three angled walls, when the banquette has to feel right and the budget has to make sense. We exist so you can specify "custom" without losing a week to logistics.

PROCESS
Concept to installation, in four stages.

Discovery
You send us the brief — sketches, references, mood, dimensions, finishes you have in mind. We respond with feasibility, materials options, and a transparent line-item quote. No mark-ups hidden in round numbers.
We translate your concept into proper shop drawings — joinery, hardware, dimensions, finish samples. You and your client see and approve everything before a single board is cut. Revisions are part of the work, not a billable extra.

Design & Shop Drawings
Production happens in our own workshop. We send milestone photos at four stages — framing, finishing, assembly, packing — so you can keep your client informed without chasing us. Lead time is honest; if something slips, you hear it first.

Fabrication
White-glove delivery on your project's schedule. We coordinate directly with your GC and trades, install on site, take the packing material with us, and walk the piece with you before we leave. The room is ready for photography that day.

Delivery & Installation
We work with you, not around you.
FOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS
However your firm is structured — a thirty-person studio or a one-designer practice — the relationship is the same. We treat you as the principal, communicate on your terms, and protect the trust between you and your client at every step.
Trade Pricing
Transparent designer pricing on every project. No retail markup, no opaque trade discount math. You see our cost structure; you decide your own margin.
Three-stage billing
50% to begin fabrication, 25% when materials arrive to schedule installation, 25% on completion. Easy to communicate, easy to budget against.
Your name on the room
We don't tag the client. We don't post the piece without your approval. The room is your portfolio, not ours.
